Intern Spotlight:Tia Harris

This fall, Tia Harris, a senior at High Tech Early College, completed a business-focused internship where she was able to learn entrepreneurial skills, money management, and business organizational skills. Her supervisor, Dee Garcia, founded a business called Innofinancial -- Dee Garcia is an entrepreneur at heart, has always been fascinated with the many layers and processes of business. Every year, Dee hires Denver youth to work with her in order to teach them essential skills and help grow their network. This fall, Tia has the privilege of adopting the title, ‘Internship Coordinator’, and assisted in managing the other youth that also worked for Innofinancial -- this included ensuring calendars were synced, creating timelines in order to reach important deadlines for events, and assigning roles to interns while at events.
